aGHD is often never diagnosed, and the reason for this is that many people with aGHD simply have no idea that they have a problem. People with aGHD may notice that there are changes in the way they look, or even the way that they feel, but these are often discounted as normal changes due to aging.
Some symptoms and signs that might indicate aGHD are:
Weak bones. If your bones are easily broken, this can indicate a decreased level of GH.
Decreasing muscle strength.
Increasing waist size and increasing body fat ratios.
An unusual body composition. aGHD patients will report an unusual ratio of lean muscle mass to body fat to water within the body. |
